START this free circuit of Perth’s downtown highlights at the WACA ground, a sports stadium and home of cricket in WA.
Continue on to Wellington square, an all ages playground, park, and sporting field
Then you might want to stop at Perth Mint, Australia’s largest precious metal enterprise, and home of the replica biggest nuggets of gold ever found. Arrive during weekday hours and you can observe a metal pouring on the tour.
Perth’s town hall is next. It has been preserved singe 1863 as a national historic site and maintains much of the original stonework.
If you want to get anywhere, Perth underground is your main stop to take a bus or train to a nearby city.
Central park is not a park, it is the tallest building in WA! And it’s right here!
His Majesty’s theatre is next, an Edwardian music theatre in Perth
You will also pass the WA parliament on this route. Founded in 1890, it holds 36 members and the premier of WA.
Finally you will reach Queens Gardens, a good stop for a walk. Try to find the peter pan statue and the Notting Hill replica bench.
